Bal Nav Durga Puja Samiti, Dhaniyamau (East), Jaunpur was established on 17th October 1996 by the sacred hands (blessed initiative) of Late Shri Radheshyam Gupta ji. The establishment of this organization saw special cooperation and tireless efforts from Shri Kamla Prasad, Shri Sajanlal Gupta, Shri Shailendra Mishra, Shri Ramashankar Gupta, Shri Girjashankar Jaiswal, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, Shri Bablu Gupta, Shri Madanlal Gupta, and all the villagers.
This organization is located in the Dhaniyamau (East) area of Jaunpur district, and every year a grand Durga Puja festival is organized here, in which people from approximately 15 to 20 surrounding villages participate with devotion and reverence. The Puja Pandal (pavilion) is constructed over an area of about 2,500 square feet, standing at a height of 51 feet. Around 250 laborers and workers put in continuous effort for 30 days to build this magnificent pandal, which is completed at a cost of approximately ₹1,20,000 (One Lakh Twenty Thousand Rupees).
Once the pandal is ready, devotees stand in long queues to have darshan (sacred viewing) of Maa Durga and offer their prayers, while also enjoying the fair (mela) organized at the venue. This event continues for a full 9 days, and on the day of Navami, a grand Yagya (sacred fire ritual) is organized, in which devotees, workers, and all the villagers come together to participate.
This committee is not only a symbol of religious celebration but also serves as a medium for preserving social unity, culture, and tradition, and passing them on to the next generation.
